The Advance Parent Group Leader training programme
The next step for those delivering the Incredible Years parenting programmes. The Advance Parent programme is based on the same principles as the Basic Parent programme is for parents who have already completed the Basic Parent programme and require further support. Topics covered include: adult communication and interpretation skills; problem solving with partners, teachers & children; anger management; and how to give and get support. This two day training is for group leaders wishing to deliver the Advance Parent programme. Participants must have completed the Basic Parent Group Leader training in order to do the Advance Parent Group Leader training.

The Infant Programme Group Leader training programme

The Incredible Years Child programmes

The Dinosaur Social Skills and Problem Solving curriculum is a child training curriculum that strengthens children's social, emotional and academic competencies such as understanding and communicating feelings, using effective problem solving strategies, managing anger, practicing friendship and conversational skills, as well as appropriate classroom behaviours.
The Dinosaur curriculum can be delivered in two modalities
and therefore two separate trainings are offered for each:

This two-day course provides basic training in delivering the Small Group Dina Therapeutic programme. This intervention is appropriate for use with small groups of children (no more than 6) experiencing behaviour problems (from pre-school to eight years). This can be used as a pull-out intervention strategy within the school environment, as well as within after school, and family resource centres. Attendance at this workshop is the first step in becoming a certified group leader.

This three day course provides basic training in delivering the Classroom Dina Programme. The Classroom Dina is delivered 2-3 times a week by facilitators/teachers in the classroom. It consists of 20-30 minute circle time lessons, which incorporate the use of small group practice activities to promote key skills. Within the school context, these concepts can usefully be reinforced throughout the day. Similarly, this programme can be useful within the school as well as preschools and early years services.
